Took my little feist for a hunt after work today. Had the woods to myself. Made 12 trees, killed 10 and left one hanging. Good evening.

Good deal and excellent hunt--Use to love it back in the day when there was a large amount off Live Oaks.
Is that two fox squirrels on the far left and right.

Yippee Ki Yay
Yes Iceman it is. I seldom kill one but tree a lot of them.
Guy that works for me in VA kills a lot of them. Said one side of the mountain is all fox squirrels the other side all gray squirrels. Supposed to bring me a mess of Fox squirrels. I never killed or ate one. Seen a lot of them in the sand hills while deer hunting.

Nice mess of squawks...
Just curious if anyone knows why Fox Squirrels are off limits on WMA yet are legal on private land. Just guessing I would think that they are limited within their range ( i.e. More plentiful in the extreme low country ) and less so as you move into the upstate. I have encountered them as far upstate as Newberry county but not in any great numbers.

Every couple of years I see a fox squirrel in union county.
