    I was, but besides the two Valmet AK variants (M78 in 308) (M76 in .223 1-12" twist) I once owned I doubt I'll by another. They just don't suit me in the accuracy department other than the two I mentioned.

    that is a smooth dozen of Russian Slab Sides. I think they were made in the late '40s.

    Used to have a Romanian CAR1. It was reasonably accurate to a hundred but went off the rails at 200. Sold it and bought what was my second AR back then.

    I'm not a buff, but I have a Serbian under folder AK47
    .45-70 is the only Government I trust...

    These rare AK47 Russian Slab-side magazines Izhmash manufactured when the AK first came out. You can see from here what these mags are going for and I ran across a bakers dozen. I saw a guy on AR15 that was excited that he only had to pay $45 for one. They are about 25% heavier than the ribbed later versions. Here is one that got a little more for theirs .
