    Default Two for the year

    And I'm probably done.

The first was a buck back in early November then I killed a doe yesterday morning having arrived in the woods well after sun up due to my being indecisive about hunting on such a nasty looking day. As I entered my family land on the paved road a good sized buck ran across the road out of the hardwoods from the direction of where I would've been had I not hesitated to get out and hunt in the first place. I then proceeded to spook two deer when I walked into those hardwoods a little bit later. Once in my stand I thought I'd just sit a while and maybe see a snowflake or two if I can sit long enough. About 10 minutes later a nice size doe and a spike came out and worked their way to a spot 70 yards in front of me where I shot the doe.
It was a very easy hunt after all even though deer sightings in December are about as rare as snow falling in Chester Co. It started snowing as I was getting the doe out of the woods.

I shot both deer with my Encore in 6.5x55 Swede handloaded with 140 gr Partitions, within 10 yards of each other a month apart.
