2 - 50 grain Pyrodex Pellets & 240 grain ( .430 ) 44 Cal XTP in a Harvester Sabot. Because it's very accurate, and I like pellets for quick reloads, for when I can shoot another Deer while the first one is still twitching on the ground.

I use 80 grains of loose Pyrodex with a round ball in the Side-hammer.

AND...because I buy in bulk, projectiles and sabots separately, which is more economical.

I use two 50 grain pellets of triple 7 and 295 grain power belts. The time tested powder charge was 90 to 100 grains for 50 cal ML. The power belts are much easier to load than sabots. I think the sabots shoot better. I have a cheap CVA muzzle loader so I don’t think it really matter in my rifle.

I use one 30 gr. & one 50 gr. pyrodex pellet (80 gr. total) with 223 gr. power belt projectile. Very fast and accurate. Great results.
