So, after burning some powder through it this weekend, they got it right this time.

    --A3-5 McMillian Fully adjustable stock.

--Bartlien 5R match grade barrel at 26" long in Rem Sendero contour, 1:10 twist.

--Timney Calvin Elite Trigger at 10oz.

    --308 Win.

--Nightforce SHV Optic 4x14x56mm IHR Reticle illuminated.

It is still under 50 shots and already shooting 1/2" groups and better.

just finished sizing this...might get it in the cement mixer tomorrow to get the lube off. All of it is NATO RA 69...made by Remington instead of LC I think

Thanks on the rifle. Nah....I'm good on 308 brass. Still have two 100rd boxes of brand new Lapua brass on the shelf.

Congrats on a nice rig. I'm sure it's a shooter too. I love the .308 myself.

165 Sierra Game King SBT at 100 yards. It's getting there. Still need a little more work to tighten it up a little more.

I would think it would start to tighten up good by 500 rounds...your keeping track...right?

that's not a bad group...you still playing with seating depth?

Oh yeah. I have a logbook for each rifle with the round count. Still under 50 shots, so not playing with seating depth yet except that I set the seating depth .01 off the lands. Still being careful working up ladders and checking for pressure signs and cleaning. Just taking my time being methodical. No rush. Deer season is still far away.

Ordered up a pound of PowerPro 2000MR and 100 Sierra Game King 180gr SBT's. I have read some good reports on 2000MR for the 308. I'll give a report in a couple weeks about it. Now that I have a 1:10 twist barrel, the 308 ought to shoot 180gr boolits well.

Best group of the day. Shot several just over 1/2" and one at .470". Then, there was the one in the pic just a tad over 1/4" with 43.8gr of RL15, 168 Berger Classic Hunter, Fed 210M primers, and Nosler brass. Now that I have found the sweet spot, I'll send it through the chrono next weekend while I'm testing the ProwerPro 2000MR.
