    Default Poults

I saw a hen with 8 little poults this morning. A wonder they still living after that awful storm we had last night. This is up here at the base of the mountains in far northern upstate.

i saw three hens b/w Friday and Saturday while we were wrapping up hay. Not a single poult with them. Hoping that they were just off their nests for a few hours before going back to finish their sets.

I saw 3 hens with 17 poults the other day and then had one with 12 poults cross the road in front of me as well. Have seen one without poults is all. Buddies are seeing good results on the hatch too. If DNRs study is correct just imagine how many poults there will be when the gobblers live long enough to breed in a few years. Seriously though the hatch looks to be real good this year in my area which is in the northern upstate.
