Hire a guide and take a couple trips. They will show you how to get them in the area and what type of bait and areas to fish. Just don’t hammer their spots. Then try on your own. It takes a bit to develope your own hotspots.

    Hahahahaha,,,,,I was just kidding Scasolari.

With the water temps at 88 degrees it gets hard to put good fish in the boat. But don't worry, the BEST FISHING of the year is coming up.
Late Sept-early Oct is the BEST time to go fishing in salt water!

I don't charter any more, so look up Capt John Boy Koonce at http://shoalbanditcharters.com/ He is a GREAT Captain that will put you on the fish!

I can answer any questions you have ,,,,You can call or "PM"me if you want.

Not looking to steal spots. More was trying to narrow down the public access spots. For those that helped even a bit, thank you.

Land based fishing? Surf fishing? Folly Beach for Blacktips...either end of the island. Blacktips have to be 54" FORK length to keep.
Edisto Beach - Blacktips, south end.

Both really. Right now I'm running my catfish rig (a Penn battle ii on an 7' ugly stik). It'll have to do until I get a dedicated saltwater rig. Folly was my next target because I know they have a pier. Finally got my resident license yesterday so I'll probably be beating around spots on my day off.
